At Le Jardin Naturel, we are proud to cultivate Adeniums using seeds only - which differs from the tendency to propagate by cuttings or graftings using thousands of the same clones. We firmly believe that a true Adenium is not a hybrid of different subspecies. Instead, a true Adenium is born from a seed - not from a cutting or grafting. Propagation by cutting or grafting denatures and weakens the plant, hence, an inferior Adenium.

Each of our Adeniums is unique because it is born from a seed issued from the fruit created by two different parents. Each Adenium has a unique color, size, form of flower, form of caudex, etc.
EACH ADENIUM IS A UNIQUE BREED
"INDIVIDUALITY OF SPIRITUAL MAGNITUDE IF BORN FROM A SEED"
A Desert Rose is recognizable at a glance: IT LOOKS LIKE NO OTHER PLANT. It has its own characteristics: general aspect, shape of the caudex, color and size of the flower. Please take a look at the pictures of the plants on this page (click on the photos to obtain a larger picture): The five plants on this page are no more than 3 inches tall. Some have as many as ten branches. Note their general balance and their "mini Baobab" appearance. It is obvious that they are Adeniums.

Our plants are cultivated under natural tropical conditions. Ultimate results are obtained without any chemical fertilizer and without excessive watering or pruning. They are born from high quality seeds of strong and healthy parent plants. At Le Jardin Naturel, we would prefer a 3 inch tall "gem" over a 3 foot tall "asparagus-like" plant with no shape, cultivated in a greenhouse with chemical fertilizer and genetically weakened.

- Our plants are grown from selected seeds that are cultivated under natural conditions, outdoors in full sunlight.
- The medium is a mixture of natural humus and mineral soil.
- We respect periods of dormance and dryness.
- The results of our approach yield a healthier, more disease resistant plant - grown the way nature intended Adeniums to be grown.
