Dorstenia gigas Selection SAN
[ Moraceae ]
[ Socotra Island ]
This is a special selection of the rare and highly demanded Dorstenia gigas, a succulent plant endemic to the island of Socotra.
Dorstenia gigas is a beautiful small shrub with a caudex - a bottle-shaped trunk - and its leaves are shiny. It is an amazing fat-plant.
The plants offered on this page are grown from seeds, which are rare.
They are grown under ideal conditions, under a tropical dry climate, at their own pace, without excessive watering. This in order to get as close as possible to the natural conditions, and to obtain beautiful forms of caudex.
Thus they are very robust plants.
Dimensions of the buckets on the photo are: 10cm x 10cm x 10cm.
