[ Araliaceae ]
[ South Africa ]
The cabbage tree is a small (5 to 6 meters), evergreen tree, emblematic of South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, very original for its branched trunk with a few compact heads of large whorled leaves. Grown as a bonsai, it forms a very graphic swollen caudex.
